A release candidate of FOSSology version 1.0 is now available for testing.
We are working on a new release of FOSSology. Things are looking really good and we think we are getting close to release. The current code is easier to install, faster, more accurate, and the best version of FOSSology yet. There still might be some bugs, but we think it’s ready for wider exposure. We have decided to issue a “Release Candidate” for testing.
The source tarball is at: http://fossology.org/testing/fossology-1.0.0~rc1.tar.gz
We are still working on the release notes, they are at: http://fossology.org/release_notes
We have also made debian packages available (source, i386, and amd64 for now). Here is the apt sources.list line.
deb http://fossology.org/debian/ ./
For a single system install you can just “apt-get install fossology”. We are workign on RPM packages, but they are not yet ready - stay tuned.
