2009.12.03 Meeting Notes

Jan 15 is too aggressive for 1.2 release.

Goal - Let's have something for the OSRB to use by end of Jan.

Mary will meet with everyone to create a schedule. Hoping to shoot for Feb 15. (Bob is out Feb 10-12 & 18-21.)

• Mary will strive to have this done by next meeting 12/10

Mark & Bob: firefighting and bug fixing - nomos, libfossagent and scheduler. Heartbeat not started, num items processed wasn't getting updated in job status.

Bob will start the nomos license reporting. Should take about 1 week. THIS DOES NOT NEED TO INCLUDE LICENSE HIGHLIGHTING IN THE FILE. However, he will implement an 80% solution with a basic text search for the license.

• finishing UI for Nomos license analyzer. displays files with the specific licenses. also, working on SCALE, community stuff (FSFE), Kings College grant for fossology

Mark is creating a license cache for nomos to eliminate database calls and make it more efficient; ~3 days to implement - done by Thurs.

• Mark was unable to attend roundtable due to weather hampered travel from Tahoe.
• Notes from Tuesday 1-on-1:
• checked in a fix for the email notification enable feature to make it happen dynamically
• working on the license cache solution. still on track to complete by Thursday
• distro bucket identification is handled specially and needs a different strategy than the other buckets. (which bucket specifically?) Mark will brainstorm with Bob on this.

Vincent has just backed out some changes he made to ununpack that made multiple db calls. Will replace with a single select call. This should be done today. Afterward he will work on the package agent. Bob & Vincent have been scoping the package agent on the wiki http://fossology.org/1.2pkgagent

• finished and tested the ununpack fix. working on clarifying the scope of the package agent. Will add time estimates to the wiki, also.

Mary will test Vincent's back/restore solution by next week along with TOT testing.

Mary to followup on Dan's docuwiki update on fossology.org.

Bob will opportunistically add his notes on redesign of the scheduler to our wiki.
