The GUI released in versions 0.6.0 and 0.6.1 leaves a lot to be desired. For one thing, it is totally heterogeneous, non-modular and difficult to maintain and customize.

This will first & foremost modularize the entire GUI in a consistent PHP-based framework.

Next it will lay the groundwork for role-based authentication & access control to the various components of the fossology system

The basic requirements of the new UI are described at ui.6

The new UI will be rolled into version 0.7.0 scheduled for release April 2008
